The cowboy song

by Children 18:3

lyricscopy.com
Well, I used to be a cowboy in the time of days gone by
And to be the voice of justice in the age of the outlaws´ cry.
And I used to go and ride the range and chase the cattle down,
Then I went to sleep alone on my bed-roll on the ground.

Singin´ I will be a cowboy again.
I will ride the dusty road again-
till the end.

I used to herd the buffalo and search for water holes
And stand out over the cattle at night and fight off any wolves.
Sometimes I ride the travelin´[?] train and stand inside a church
And ask God to forgive and bless this cowboy and his work.

Singin´ I will be a cowboy again.
I will ride the dusty road again-
Till the end.

I remember roaming calves and brandin´ them with iron
And coping with the wind and driving rain and prairie fire.
I remember days before when my work to came to an end,
And someday when the world is changed I´ll ride the range again.
And someday when the world has changed I´m gonna ride the range again!

I will be a cowboy again.
I will ride the dusty road again.
I will be a cowboy again.
I will ride the dusty road again-
Till the end, till the end, till the end!
